Weather maps from WXCharts, which uses Metdesk data, show parts of the UK turning shades of purple, indicating snowfall in the country. From 3pm on February 15 as much as 0.6cm of the white stuff will fall on Manchester, Lancashire, Cumbria, the western Scottish borders as well as western Scotland and the Highland.
