FDA says Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine vials may hold extra ‘obtainable’ doses, adding to US supply
While each Pfizer vial is supposed to hold five doses of the first vaccine authorized for emergency use by the Food and Drug Administration, Politico was first to report on Wednesday that pharmacists have discovered some vials may have extra doses, potentially adding to the country’s supply.
German scientist Özlem Türeci was focused on cancer, then came COVID-19. It was her ‘duty’ to help develop a vaccine.
Özlem Türeci feels like she’s been running a marathon since January. She’s not at the finish line yet, although millions of doses of the vaccine she helped develop are now being delivered across the United States and Britain.
